Photo Eid cards???

Think an Eid greeting card personalized with a photo of the whole family, just the kids, or even just your pet. Or multiple photos of all the above! There really aren’t any rules to how you can design Eid cards. They are meant to be visually and aesthetically tailored for you in a way that brings you the most joy.

Once printed, you can send them out during Ramadan to friends and family. You can mail them to loved ones that live minutes away from you and even to those that live in another country. Both muslim and non-muslim. Because why not spread the joy of Eid to all? Send them to all loved ones you think would crack a smile upon receiving your card.

Yes, photo Eid cards aren't exactly trending at the moment, but don't let that stop you. If you got the urge to try it out, give it a go! There's no harm in trying something new!

A thank you card with a black and white photograph lies beside a cream envelope and small potted plant on a light surface.

Don't know where to start?

You guessed it. Not all greeting card companies offer template  photo Eid card options. My favorite two professional printing labs - Mpix and Nations Photo Lab - do NOT currently offer photo Eid card templates, for example. But don't worry, we still have lots of photo Eid card options to choose from via 3 methods.

One-Stop-Shop Companies

These are vendors that sell cards that can be customized and printed with envelopes, all in one go. Think ultimate convenience.

As mentioned, there are a limited number of companies that do offer this. I've done the research and here's a list of companies that do offer photo Eid cards in no particular order: Papier, Minted, Simply to Impress, Zazzle, Canva, and Shutterfly.

Buy Template & Print Elsewhere

This method includes buying your preferred template from one vendor and then printing out the physical cards from another. This works best for those that want more template options and are ok with doing a little extra work. Think of this as the 'I need more options' approach.

Canva and Etsy are great sources for finding additional template options. Etsy in particular is great if you're all about supporting a small business.

DIY Template & Print Elsewhere

This approach includes designing your own template and then printing it off at the printing lab of your choice. This is perfect for those with a specific aesthetic vision that also want complete artistic control. Think of this as the 'I want ultimate control' option.

I highly recommend designing your template on Canva or even Photoshop, but only the latter if you are comfortable with the software.

Where  should I print my Eid cards?

I highly recommend using Mpix  or Nations Photo Lab to print off your cards. They are my top two professional photo printing labs that produce high quality products. The only downside to using them - as opposed to the nearby CVS or Walmart -  is delivery time. And if you're running out of time to mail off your cards before Eid, then I totally understand if you're forced to use CVS or Walmart. Don't let perfection stop you for starting an Eid card tradition!
