Spring mini photoshoot session in a vast field of blooming, vibrant tulips? Yes, please! This year, I’m offering Tulip Farm Mini Sessions in April at Burnside Farms in Nokesville, Virginia. The dates I've selected are set to coincide with the tulips' peak bloom, which should make for one of the most unique, vibrant backdrops in Northern Virginia. If you’ve been thinking about updating your family photos, you won't want to miss out on this opportunity.
- Dates: Friday, April 10th & Sunday, April 12th
- Rain Date: Saturday, April 18th
- Investment: $335
Each mini session is 20 minutes long and includes:
- 10 high-resolution, hand-edited jpeg files;
- professional retouching (as desired);
- a private proofing gallery where you choose your favorite 10 images;
- a clothing guide (if desired); and
- an online final gallery with cloud storage of up to one year.
These sessions are designed to be short and sweet with me pulling out all the tricks to get the kids actively participating (and not giving us those forced school photo smiles). You sit back and let me worry about getting your must-have shots.
Spots are limited and will go quickly - reserve your session before it's too late.
FAQs - Tulip Farm Mini Sessions
What should we wear?
Neutral tones and muted colors photograph beautifully against the rows of colorful tulips. The key is to vibe with the tulips, NOT compete. Reduce patterned clothing to one person, maybe two max. If you want more detailed advice, be sure to let me know in your questionnaire when you book and I’ll send you my clothing guide for more guidance. I'm also here if you want someone to bounce ideas off of. But as always, do whatever brings you the most joy. They'll be your photos after all!
What happens if it rains?
I’ve secured a rain date on Saturday, April 18th. If the weather doesn’t cooperate on the 10th, you can reschedule to the 12th or 18th. If your session is on the 12th and needs to be rescheduled, we can find a time that works best on the 18th. I'll be sure to be in touch if inclement weather is on the horizon.
Can we bring a pet or extended family?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed during the farm's spring festival, but you are more than welcome to bring extended family members. That said, be aware that additional people may end up taking away time from your list of "must have" shots. We'll only have 20 minutes together so be sure to evaluate how much coordination time will be needed in having those additional folks present. My mini sessions are stacked back to back so I will not be able to add additional time to your session.
