This year, I’m offering Fall Mini Sessions in early November. I find late October/early November to generally be the ideal time for fall foliage in the Northern Virginia area - when the foliage is less green and has more golden, amber and russet hues. Set at Ellanor C. Lawerence park in Chantilly, Virginia, these minis will showcase a classic Northern Virginia fall look perfect for your holiday cards or updated family photo for your gallery wall.

  • Date: Sunday, November 2
  • Rain Date: Saturday, November 8
  • Investment: $335

Each mini session is 20 minutes long and includes:

  • 15 high-resolution, hand-edited jpeg files;
  • professional retouching (as desired);
  • a private proofing gallery where you choose your favorite 15 images;
  • a clothing guide (if desired); and
  • an online final gallery with cloud storage of up to one year.

These sessions are designed to be short and sweet with me doing all the corralling needed to get the kids actively participating. You sit back and let me worry about getting your must have shots.

Spots are limited and will go quickly - reserve your session today. Let's capture your family in Northern Virginia's stunning fall foliage.

FAQs - Fall Mini Sessions

What should we wear?

Warm neutrals with (or without) a pop of maroon, rich purple, rust hues, or mustard yellow look amazing against the autumn leaves.  The goal is always to vibe with the background colors, NOT compete. Reduce patterned clothing to one person, maybe two max. If you want more detailed advice, be sure to let me know in your questionnaire when you book and I’ll send you my clothing guide for more guidance. But as always, do whatever brings you the most joy. They'll be your photos after all!

What happens if it rains?

I’ve secured a rain date on Saturday, November 8. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, your session will be moved to that date. I'll be sure to update you as the weather predictions change.

Can we bring a pet or extended family?

Sure! But be aware that additional people and pets may end up taking away time from your list of "must have" shots. We'll only have 20 minutes together so be sure to evaluate how much coordination time will be needed in having those additional folks - and fur babies - present. My mini sessions are stacked back to back so unfortunately I will not be able to add additional time to your session.
